Mind Matters Luncheon

On October 26, 2018 over 125 friends and supporters of the Stroke Comeback Center came together at the Hyatt Regency Dulles to enjoy an afternoon with Dr. Kathleen Howland, Ph.D. This nationally renowned lecturer gave a thought provoking presentation on music and the brain, illustrating how music serves as both a human necessity and a tool for wellness. Local stroke choir Different Strokes for Different Folks, led by Tom Sweitzer of Middleburg’s A Place to Be, where music meets therapy, gave a rousing and truly unforgettable performance. Special thanks to our event sponsors: MedStar NRH, Genentech, Tell Me Town Foundation and choir sponsors: the Wheeler Family Foundation and Inova Loudoun Hospital.
