On March 17, 2016 the lovely ladies from Coldwell Banker paid us a visit to build a bridge between CB and Stroke Comeback Center. Together, we’re making a difference in our communities!

This multi-level class focuses on speech clarity, language use, word retrieval, social interaction, and listening skills. For native Spanish speakers; Esta clase de varios niveles se centra en la claridad del habla, el uso del lenguaje, la recuperación de palabras, la interacción social, y las habilidades auditivas. This class is for members with significant aphasia who want to improve their word level writing skills, play word games and practice using writing as a compensatory strategy for communication.
All are welcome in this gentle mat-based or seated yoga class. Our skilled instructor will meet participants where they are with a whole-body approach to healing and mindfulness. Supporting a range of abilities and needs, this class is open to both members and care partners.
Watch select videos at home and come together to practice communication skills while discussing global leaders, entertainers, artists, activists, chosen by the group.
Join us for hand-focused fun! An emphasis on fine motor skills and hand strengthening. Class will be tailored to your needs for both the affected and unaffected hand. All levels of mobility/function are welcome.

This class will improve your ability to spontaneously discuss ideas and practice public speaking skills. This group is for members who want to challenge their language with impromptu discussions of member-selected material from sources such as news articles, podcasts, and TED Talks.

Members will practice expressive and receptive spelling skills in both written and verbal formats.
For members with apraxia of speech or dysarthria who want to improve articulation and intelligibility. Use Video Assisted Speech Technology (VAST TM) and Mind Over Matter program to work on motor planning.
