Stroke Comeback Center
Saturday, October 16, 2004
This event was a success! Over 100 people came to see the Center and find out about our communication
programs. Special guests, Congressmen Tom Davis, Virginia Senator Jeannemarie Devolites Davis and Fairfax County
Supervisor Linda Smyth "cut the ribbon." Congressman Davis presented an U.S. flag, which was
flown at the Capital, to Darlene Williamson, SCC Exec. Director. Wonderful food and drink were provided
by our sponsors - Dominoes, Hunter Mill Deli, and Chesapeake Bagel. More pictures are found at our Scrapbook!

| SCC Advisory Meeting May 2004 |
HISTORY: The Stroke Comeback Center opened in October 2004 - without furniture or dividing
walls! But we have committed volunteers, lots of energy, and a drive to succeed. Why? The members of
the Consumer Advisory Board are stroke survivors and their loved ones (family and friends.) Pictured
in the right are (from the left): Darlene Williamson, SCC Exec. Director, Dennis Sponholtz, Janice Rodriguez, Marcie
Sponholtz, Paul Berger and Stephanie Mensh. Not pictured is Winston Lindsley - he took the picture!
